Antioquia Gold is focused on searching out mineral and resource opportunities in Latin America, and in particular Colombia. Antioquia Gold, Inc. was formed through the amalgamation of AM-VES Resources, Inc (a private resource company held by ten mining professionals) with High American Gold Inc. (a public junior mining company de-listed in 2003).
Exploration has been on-going since 2007 at the company's flagship Cisneros Project, which is located geologically on the Antioquia Batholith near the town of Cisneros in the Department of Antioquia. The company's property of merit report was done on the Guayabito properties, the initial concessions acquired within the project area. The area has numerous artisan workings, some of which date back more than 100 years. The Cisneros Project is situated 55 km northeast of Medellin and about 20 km west of the Gramalote Project held by an AngloGold Ashanti and B2 Gold Joint Venture.
The company is also well positioned with 6 projects (totalling 32,000Ha) within the prolific Middle Cauca Porphyry Belt.
