Antioquia Gold Inc. is a Canadian public company which previously operated under the name High American Gold Inc.

The name change was approved by shareholders on April 15, 2008 and the actual name change was made on July 30, 2008 at which time a share re-organization took place and the Company acquired all of the outstanding shares of Am-Ves Resources Inc. ("Am-Ves"). The Company's shares are now listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol AGD.V.

The Company was inactive for several years from 2002 onwards until efforts were made to reactivate the Company commencing in 2007. During this time period, the Company was subject to cease trade orders. In March 2008, the cease trade orders were lifted and the Company convened a shareholder meeting for April 15, 2008. At this shareholder meeting the shareholders approved a debt settlement, and a share exchange agreement dated October 30, 2007 with Am-Ves a private resource company held by ten mining professionals. The share exchange agreement was completed on July 30, 2008 whereby, Antioquia acquired all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Am-Ves in consideration for the issue of the common shares and warrants of the Company. Immediately prior to the closing of the Transaction on July 30, 2008, the Company changed its name to "Antioquia Gold Inc." and consolidated its shares.

Concurrent with the completion of the transaction, Am-Ves also closed a brokered private placement for gross proceeds of $876,000, and a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of $228,000.

Antioquia Gold's initial project is a property in the Antioquian Batholith near the town of Cisneros in the Department of Antioquia called the Guayabito Property. It is an old mining area having numerous artisan workings and situated 75 km northeast of Medellin and about 20 km west of the Gramalote Project held by AngloGold Ashanti and B2 Gold.
